According to this article, the Mayans were right, the Earth's poles are preparing to reverse and other calamities are inevitable.  Personally, I don't buy any of the 2012 hype, but its interesting to see the theories rattle off. Would love to hear people's thoughts.

 

White Squall!

I am embarrassed to admit that I enjoyed the movie "White Squall," starring Jeff Bridges and a cast of young superstars including Ryan Phillippe and that little D-Bag from Party of Five (Scott Wolf?). It seems that the "White Squall," or random rogue wave, is not a myth.

What a way to go... sitting comfortably, drunk, at the dinner table on a cruise ship... and a set of gigantic waves smashes into the side of the boat, blows out the windows and drags you out to see. Talk about grounds for a refund.
 

Chilean Tsunami

This video is incredible... Took nearly a week to report that tsunamis had even struck Chile as a result of the Earthquake.
